Tanesha Westcar is an entrepreneurevents manager, International Development MSc graduate, Governor General Achievement Awardee and Goodenough College Fellow. She served four years as the UK Diaspora Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade and was the first Chairperson of the Global Jamaica Diaspora Youth Council (GJDYC). Tanesha is also an author and international speaker.


As part of her commitment to drive change, improve lives and give back, Tanesha partakes in many philanthropic exploits. Her earliest role in an East London School resulted in an invitation to 10 Downing Street to meet former Prime Minister Gordon Brown. She continues to make a positive impact in areas of education, youth advocacy, politics and economic empowerment.

Tanesha delivered a Port Talk Lecture at Goodenough College as their latest Fellow in the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences. 

Tanesha is the first black woman to receive a fellowship at the institution. The appointment took place during the October 2021 Founder's Day ceremony.
