It was so much fun being interviewed by former Education Minister Ronald Thwaites on Power 106. We laughed about the 'pot cover celebrations' during the Olympics before venturing into the importance of culture especially for the youth diaspora. The music, sport, food, language and dance are only a few of the ways of connecting to the heritage of Jamaica, which is vital for the second to fourth generation Jamaicans living in the UK. There are many upcoming projects including a Placement Program that is due to launch in September 2017 that will work on bridging the cultural disconnect and forming new affinities to the island.
